Ajayakumar, the 64 cm. tall Malayalam actor who is known as Undapakru in film circles, is to make his debut in Kannada. He is acting in a silent film titled Mirror along with Padma Vasanthi, Abhinaya, Ramesh Bhat, Kashi and others. The film is being directed by journalist-turned-director Manjunath Babu and the camera is being handled by Chandranna. Mirror has a social message to give and is expected to comment on the social issues that the society is facing today.

Undapakru, 31 years old and 64 centimetres tall, has found a place in the Guinness Book of Records for being the shortest actor to portray a lead role in a film (Albhuda Dweep directed by Vinayan). The film was later dubbed in Tamil.

Undapakru, who holds a degree in Economics from M.G. Univarsity, Kerala and a diploma in computer science, started his career as a mimicry artist and later, moved on to films. He has acted in several films in Malayalam and has visited numerous countries, including the US as part of troupes staging cultural shows.

Although physically short, his achievements have taken him to high places which an average man could only dream of. Ajayakumar is not at all worried about his shortness and believes using the talents that God has given to him. Apart from 30 Malayalam and 3 Tamil films, he has also acted in several serials and other comedy programmes on TV.

The actor has been presented with a special Kerala State Award and Tamil Nadu State Award for his role in the Tamil film Dishyum.
